Modular and temporary kitchen infrastructure specialist, PKL, has been awarded a place on the ESPO Modular Buildings Framework 953_18 for the purchase and hire of modular catering units.

ESPO helps public sector organisations procure items, services, buildings and refurbishments more easily and affordably. With a range of over 25,000 products available, more than £1bn is spent through ESPO each year.

PKL has been listed on Frameworks tendered by ESPO for a number of years and is anticipating continuing to supply products to customers looking to use this route as a procurement method.

To achieve the Framework listing, PKL detailed it underwent a rigorous quality assessment process, which evaluated its products, processes, staff, quality and suitability to supply modular catering units. The company achieved a score of 67.67 out of a possible 70 for this part of the tender.

As well as modular catering units, Framework 953 covers the procurement of a wide range of modular buildings, including healthcare, education and office block structures. All companies on the Framework have undergone an assessment which ensures that customers using ESPO as a route for purchasing can procure knowing that the companies listed have been vetted, both in terms of quality and price.

PKL chief executive Lee Vines said: “We are very pleased to be awarded a position on ESPO’s framework. It illustrates the high standards we maintain at PKL and the track record we have demonstrated with public organisations across our 30 year history. We are proud to be associated with ESPO, a group that is trusted by public institutions across the UK to choose only the very best suppliers for its frameworks.”
